Sony-Ericsson W31S
I had to get rid of the last keitai I bought because the battery life was just plain horrible. It, like my 4 previous mobile phones, was made by Sony-Ericsson. Even though they continue to produce the best phones available their W21S model left a lot to be desired. Because of all the problems with the phone, specifically the terrible battery life, I ended up purchasing their latest model - the W31S.
This new model sports a 2.0MP camera, the ability to play MP3’s off of a Memory Stick as well as tune in to FM radio stations. There are a host of other wicked features but these are the most notable.
What is different about this keitai is that it is not a clamshell design. Sony-Ericsson not only chose to go to a design that has the screen in plain view all the time but they also got rid of my beloved “scroller” in favor of a “pad” that actually seems to function far superior than the former ever did.
In any event, so far I am really enjoying the new keitai. After all these years of owning a keitai I finally have one that is orange!

hey, was wondering if this phone only works or is compatible with the japanese market or is it also compatible with ohter service providers around the world for example china or canada or the usa cause i would really actually consider purchasing this phone before any other no matter what the cost

The phone only works in Japan and is not compatible with any providers outside the country, unfortunately. Sorry.
I was just wondering if you know how to transfer photos to a computer using the USB cable that comes with this phone… I’d much rather do that than pay the fee AU charges for emailing pictures and stuff. I’m using a Windows XP box here, but if you know how to do it in a Linux or any UNIX (free or low-cost ones, preferably), that would help too. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you could email me with the response, that would be cool too.
Please help me with information of au sony ericsson w31s keitai, i dont know how to use the sonic stage, plus i installed and i cant see some characters in my pc, yo know no japanese software, so what do i need ? a memory stick ? whAT SIZE ? I HAVE ONE ON 16 MB OF MY OLD KEITATI DOES IT WORKS? PLEASE HELP ME , THANKS.
I read somewhere that this phone will not likely be released in the U.S. What a shame. I really wanted this phone for my birthday. =(

hello, i just bougth the same ketai, i am living in Kobe, i can not conect the ketai with sonic stage, what should i have to do=,?, i can not put music into my ketai, may be i am making something wrong, i have laptop completly in japaneses, and also have a memory 512 mb in the ketai, but it doesn t work
